'Ello!

Hey, guys!  Sorry it's been a while since my last update.  I've been super busy with my new job and it's been so much fun!  I haven't actually made any money yet (haha) because I still haven't gotten my license.  But that's about to change, and soon!  As in, within the next two weeks if I play my cards right-- at which point, I'll be licensed to sell life, home, and auto insurance, give loans, and generally make the world a better place (am I right?!)

As of right now, I'm certified to do a few things as far as debt elimination is concerned.  It's such a pleasure to know that families (and people in general) will be able to benefit from working with me.  So far, my trainer and I have already been able to put together plans for a few families in my area to get them out of debt, properly insured, and on the right track to retire with all of their financial needs met.  I mean seriously, how cool is that?

And once I'm licensed, I'll be able to make some seriously good money just helping people out.

Now, hold on a sec while I get off my soap box...

In other news, The Bean & The Bot are growing and growing and they've been keeping us on our toes for sure.  They've had nasty coughs for the past two weeks :(  They have hoarse little baby voices and at times they've seemed absolutely miserable.  It's cute to see how they are when they're sick because Rowan is exactly like his daddy--a HUGE baby.  All he wants to do is cuddle with Buck and whine all day long, it's so pathetic :(  Stellan, on the other hand, is just like me when he's sick.  He pretty much acts normally (which for Stelly means non stop smiling and giggling) aside from his sad baby coughing fits.

While I was out running errands on Saturday morning, my tunnel vision broke and I got sucked into checking out a multi family yard sale in The Ranches.  I figured I'd be safe because I didn't have any cash on hand.  Some of you may be thinking "If you didn't have any cash and didn't want to buy anything, why did you bother looking?"  I'll tell you:  ...I don't know.

Of course, it took a matter of minutes for me to spot 4 barstools as I drove by.  I stopped the car to see what the asking price was:  $7 per stool (and they were nice!  easily worth $20 each).  I offered $20 for the 4 of them and another $20 for one other item that I found.  Then, I drove to the gas station and used their ATM :)  I masterfully packed everything into the jetta and drove home to show Buck my booty (pun intended).

What was the other item?  Behold!!
Rowan's new lazy boy!

...Slash, Buck's new gaming chair.

The Bean's been getting some good use out of it as well :)

I plan on reupholstering it when I get the time (and decide on the fabric.)  And while we're on the subject of DIY, it should be noted that I have also updated my other blog.

That's it for now.  Leave comments, people!  That button's not just there to look pretty!

  4. Still no camera, but I took Ian's and your whining about my fancy pictures under advisement and downgraded to the lower resolution, less fun, regular style camera on my phone. Happy now?!

    ;)

  7. I can't believe I forgot to post a picture of them! They're cute as they are, but I'm going to refinish them so I guess maybe I was saving pictures for my other blog once I got around to doing it.

Right now, our old ones are in the basement. I'm thinking about selling them. We paid $20 each for them and they're still in perfect condition so I don't know....

If you and Douglas wanted to have them, I'm sure we could work something out, haha. One word of caution though: they were too tall to sit comfortably at our bar and yours is the same height. (The new stools are lower.)
